Amiqa was born out of a desire to empower independent hotel owners and managers with tools that simplify operations, enhance guest experiences, and drive profitability without the need for a large team.
From hotel rooms to hotel tech
When Daniel, Amiqa's co-founder, embarked on building his family-owned small hotels in Central America, he brought with him over 15 years of experience from some of the world's largest hotel chains in highly competitive markets like Spain and Mexico.
He quickly realized that the sophisticated revenue management and automation tools available to large chains were completely out of reach for independent properties. These tools were designed for enterprises with extensive management hierarchies — a structure that simply doesn't exist in small hotels.
Determined to change this, Daniel, now based in Stockholm, set out to create Amiqa with co-founders Carlos and Iván. Backed by early investor Mauricio and combining their expertise from working at tech startups and financial institutions, they developed a streamlined automation solution specifically designed for small hotels.
