Smart Pricing

Dynamic Pricing Software for Small Hotels

Most small hotels change their prices a few times a year. Demand changes every week. Amiqa reviews each of your next 90 nights every morning and shows you where a different price would earn you more — and you decide how much of the pricing you hand over.

Why static prices cost a small hotel money

A night you sell too cheap is money you never get back. A night you price too high stays empty. With fixed seasonal rates you get both mistakes every month: the busy weekend fills weeks in advance at last year's price, and the quiet Tuesday stays empty because nobody lowered it in time.

Large chains solve this with a revenue manager and expensive revenue management software. A hotel with 5 to 30 rooms usually has neither — the owner sets prices between check-ins. Dynamic pricing software does the daily work of watching demand for you, so the owner only makes the decisions.

If you want the maths behind it, our guide to RevPAR explains how price and occupancy combine, and this article walks through a 12-room example of static versus dynamic rates.

How Amiqa's dynamic pricing works

Every morning Amiqa looks at each room type and each of your next 90 nights, and suggests where to raise the price and where to lower it. The best opportunities come first, as a short list: raises with the biggest expected gain at the top, and a separate list of cuts that pay for themselves — nights Amiqa expects to stay empty at your current price.

Each suggestion shows the price guests see today, the price Amiqa suggests, how likely the night is to sell, and what you gain. For cuts, Amiqa tells you how much fuller the night must get for the lower price to be worth it, so you can tell an easy win from a gamble.

Amiqa learns mainly from your own data, not from copying what other hotels charge:

  • your past bookings — especially the same weekday and month last year
  • how your coming nights are filling right now
  • the season, and how many rooms of each type are left
  • public holidays, when they make a difference

You stay in control of every price

Nothing changes until you say so. You choose how much to hand over, one step at a time:

  • Decide yourself — read the suggestions and accept only the nights you agree with.
  • Set limits — a floor and a ceiling for each room type. Amiqa never quotes below your floor or above your ceiling.
  • Autopilot — Amiqa prices a room type every night on its own, within your limits.

Your own prices are never lost

When Amiqa prices a night, your own rate is not deleted — it waits in your inventory. Turn Autopilot off, or give some nights back, and your prices return in one step. Only owners and managers can accept prices, set limits or turn on Autopilot; receptionists can look but not change anything.

Accepted prices reach Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb and your own booking site within a few minutes, through Amiqa's built-in channel manager. No copying rates between extranets.

Built for hotels with 3 to 30 rooms

Amiqa is designed for small and independent hotels. Dynamic pricing comes in the same subscription as the lightweight PMS, the channel manager, performance analytics and occupancy forecasting — one fixed monthly rate based on your number of rooms, with unlimited team accounts and no per-user fees. See the plans on our pricing page.

Already using another PMS? Amiqa integrates with Beds24 and Cloudbeds. In that case you see every suggestion in Amiqa and apply the prices in your own system.

Getting started

Set up your rooms, rates and channels, then upload your past bookings — Amiqa learns from them, and a hotel with a year of history gets sharper suggestions from day one than a hotel with two months. Once your forecasts are ready, start slowly: set your limits, accept two or three raises on dates you know sell well, and check them in your inventory. Hand over more when you trust what you see.

Frequently asked questions

Does Amiqa change my prices without asking?
No. Amiqa only suggests until you accept a price or turn on Autopilot for a room type. You can switch Autopilot off at any time and your own prices come back.
Can I stop Amiqa going too low or too high?
Yes. Set a floor and a ceiling for each room type. Amiqa never quotes below your floor or above your ceiling, and the room type card tells you when a limit stepped in.
Does it just copy my competitors' prices?
No. Amiqa learns mainly from your own past bookings, how your coming nights are filling, the season, the rooms left and public holidays. It does not know about a wedding group or a local event you know about, so you can always skip a suggestion.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. You add a card at signup, but you are not charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel anytime before then.
