Your Account, Team & Plan

Who has access, what they can do, and what you pay

August 13, 20267 min read

Your own details, your team's access, your password, your hotel's public contact details, and your subscription — all in Settings on the Dashboard. This is the half of setup that is about people rather than rooms.

Where are my account settings?

Settings on the Dashboard — reachable from the sidebar, where Settings opens a small sub-list and Account takes you there.

Six tabs:

TabWhat it holds
AccountYour own profile and contact details
EmployeesYour team and what each person can do
Change PasswordYour password
Hotel DetailsYour hotel's info and guest-facing contact
BillingBilling details
SubscriptionYour plan

How do I add someone to my team?

Account Settings → Employees, then add a new one. The form asks for their name, email, country and phone, the role that decides what they can do, and which properties they can see.

You set their password when you create them — Amiqa will tell you "You must enter a password to create the user" — and there is a Generate password option if you would rather not invent one. Give it to them and let them change it on first sign-in.

Amiqa confirms with "Employee was created successfully".

There is no limit on team members, and they cost nothing extra. Every plan includes your whole team. So there is no reason to share one login — which is worth avoiding anyway, because shared logins make the activity log meaningless.

What roles can I give people?

Three, chosen when you create or edit someone:

RoleFor
Manager/AdminYou, a partner, or whoever runs the hotel. Full access, including settings, rates and money.
ReceptionistFront desk staff. Day-to-day work — bookings, check-ins, payments — without the settings that shape the business.
GuestRead-only. Someone who needs to see without changing anything.

Role decides what appears at all. A receptionist will not find the screens for changing rates or taxes, which is the point — they cannot reprice your season by accident, and their screen is simpler for it.

You also choose which properties each person can see. With more than one hotel, that keeps each team to their own.

If someone tells you a screen is missing or a button will not save, this is almost always why. Change the role rather than working around it.

Someone has left. How do I remove their access?

Deactivate them. In Account Settings → Employees, use the action on their row — Amiqa asks "Do you want to deactivate this employee?" and confirms with "Employee deactivated successfully".

They can no longer sign in, but their history stays intact — the bookings they took and the payments they recorded still show who did them. That is why deactivating is better than deleting.

Reactivating is the same action in reverse, for seasonal staff who come back.

How do I change my password?

Account Settings → Change Password on the Dashboard.

Passwords need at least 8 characters, and Amiqa checks for a lowercase letter, a number and a special character as you type, showing how strong it is.

If you cannot sign in at all, use the forgotten-password link on the sign-in page — that sends a reset to your email and does not need anyone's help.

Changing your password signs you out of the Front Desk too, since both halves share one account. Just sign in again.

What is the Account tab for?

Your own details, not your hotel's. Amiqa is explicit about the difference: "How we reach you directly about your account. Not shown to guests."

So this is where Amiqa contacts you about billing, your subscription or a problem — your Profile and your Contact phone.

Anything your guests see lives in Hotel Details instead.

What is a "guest-facing" email, and why does it matter?

The address your guests see, as opposed to yours. Amiqa explains it as "Shown to your guests and used in emails we send on your hotel's behalf."

The difference is worth caring about. Confirmations, changes and cancellations go out on your hotel's behalf, and they should come from something like reservations@yourhotel.com — not from your personal address. Guests reply to whatever they were sent from, and a personal inbox is a bad place for a reservation change to land at midnight.

Amiqa nudges you about this: "Add a guest-facing email so we don't use your personal one in emails to guests."

Set the Guest-facing email and Guest-facing phone here, alongside your hotel's basic info.

Where do I see and change my plan?

Account Settings → Subscription. Your plan is set by how many rooms you have — each one covers up to a maximum number of rooms per month.

You can pay Monthly or Annual, and annual saves roughly 20%. Amiqa shows what you would save before you switch.

New accounts start with a 7-day free trial covering every feature, and "Cancel anytime before the 7 days end — no charge." After that the subscription starts automatically, and you can cancel from the Dashboard whenever you like.

Upgrade when you add rooms. The plan follows your room count, so growing past your current tier is the moment to move. Nothing else forces an upgrade — every plan includes every feature.

What are the limits on my plan?

Rooms are the only thing your plan limits. Each plan covers up to a maximum number of rooms per month, and that is what decides your price.

Everything else is included on every plan:

  • Your whole team, at no extra cost"Your whole team connected, no extra cost"
  • Roles and permissions"Each person sees only what they need"
  • Dynamic pricing"Prices that adjust themselves with AI"
  • The Front Desk"Manage bookings from one single place"
  • Channel manager"Sync Booking, Airbnb & more instantly"
  • Analytics and forecasting
  • Human email support

There is no cap on room types, rate plans, bookings or guests. No feature sits behind a higher tier.

Where do I update my billing details?

Account Settings → Billing. Payment runs through Stripe, so your card details are handled by them rather than stored by Amiqa.

Keep it current. A card that expires quietly is the most common reason a subscription lapses, and it always seems to happen in your busiest week.

What do I need to get started with Amiqa?

Less than people expect. To sign up: your hotel's name and location, your room count, and an email. There is a 7-day free trial, so nothing is charged while you look around.

To actually be useful, Amiqa needs three things, and only the first is required on day one:

  1. Your rooms and rates — room types, the rooms inside them, and what they cost. Perhaps thirty minutes.
  2. Your historical bookings, if you have them. Not required, but this is what unlocks occupancy, RevPAR and ADR immediately instead of a year from now, and it makes pricing recommendations sharper from the start. Export from your old system or a spreadsheet.
  3. Your channel logins, if you want Booking.com, Expedia or Airbnb connected.

You do not need documents, a business registration, or anything from your accountant to begin.
